Happy New Decade!

I've decided to make a New Decade Resolution for the news media. It's an easy one. I'll share it after I've had time to mull it over some more. Just something for my multitude of patient and loving readers to pine for.

I may also make some New Decade Resolutions for the voters of the USA. That post can also wait. I'm thinking it'll irritate a lot of people with its sheer ignorance.

I may also make some New Decade Resolutions for the money spending, law writing, doing nothing good, government of this great land. Of course, that may be a waste. I'm not sure they can resolve to do anything except spend more money and make life in the USA as miserable as possible.

Sorry, I've been at the parent's house all week and they have all their TV's permanently tuned to FoxNews.

And, of course, you are wondering what my resolutions are. Well, I've resolved not to make any resolutions for myself. So far, I'm doing very good.

  1. I thought you agreed to cease wearing t-shirts with messages as part of the ongoing de-nerdification process.

  2. Today, my shirt says:
"I do everything the voices in my wife's head tell me to do".

    It's too late for de-nerdification.

  3. Well, that is just unfortunate. De-nerdifying you presented a huge challenge that I found, well, challenging. You give up way to easy. Which was just one more thing we were gonna de-nerd out of you.

  4. Who said I gave up? I just decided to enjoy being a nerd.

I am a handsome strapping young nerd.

  5. Incidentally, the shirt I'm wearing today says, "Jamaican Me Crazy".

    Nerdy huh...

  6. "Handsome strapping young nerd"?

Well, you got it 25% right.... :p

  7. The phrase "handsome strapping young nerd" has 29 characters. 25% of 29 is 7.25. Handsome has 8 characters so it's possible that is what was meant. Strapping has 9 characters so I'm going to throw that out. I've never felt strapping anyway. Nerd has 4 and is way too short. Now Young works. Especially if you leave in the spaces " young " is exactly 7 characters. I don't know where the .25 comes from.
Unless, you count the e's as .25 characters, then handsome works out perfectly, but that of course changes your letter count because now you'd have 28.5 total characters rather than 29 which would throw out all previous computations.

I guess that all just proves that you were counting words instead of letters and nerd works fine. Thanks :)
