Google Ads

I've never, in my life, done anything deliberately wrong.

For the last 4 years or so I've been displaying Google Ads on my blog. When I first joined, they said I'd get a check when I hit $25. When I was at $20, they raised it to $50. Now, I'm at $45 and the bastards just now sent me an email to let me know that I have violated the Adsense adult content policy. They sited my post on Texas Bestiality as the reason.

I'm so mad I could spit. I'm not sure I can continue writing posts on a Google owned website. Apparently the bastards can't read and have no amount of intelligence. I might have to go get my Wordpress blog going again. As it is I'll have my $45 sitting in limbo probably forever. They can go take a sarcastic bath in it. Maybe they'll learn the definition.

No more Chrome and no more Google searches. I'm sure it won't hurt them at all, but it'll make me feel better and I have choices. ask.com, bing.com, dogpile.com, etc. There's got to be an intelligent one out there somewhere.

Then, I'll have to get rid of my Droid. There's no way I can go to Apple. I'm not that fond of a Microsoft phone either. What the hell am I going to do? Maybe the Droid will be a necessary evil. Google bastards.

  1. This makes no sense. How did you get told that AdSense was suspending you for this alleged adult content?

As for the paying you thing. You don't get paid til your total goes over $100. It's always been this way. I got my first $100 the first month I did AdSense, while you've not yet gotten past the $100 mark?

Who would have read that bestiality blogging and thought it was adult material? I could understand it, maybe, if you'd posted that video you made with you and your pig being overly affectionate, but you refrained.

  2. For some reason I thought it started out cheaper. And, now, for some reason I thought it said, $50. Anyway, yeah, I'm not the proficient entertaining ad generating blogger that you are. And now, I'm not ad generating at all.

Here's the email. At first I thought it was a scam, but all the links were valid links...

  3. I figured this had to be a hoax. But, it appears you are not the only one who has been publishing sordid blogging material. This appears to be a fairly recent thing. Methinks Google mis-programmed some robot site checker thing and it has been sending out bogus warnings. Why don't you just delete your offensive post about your goat love and preserve your AdSense revenue stream?

  4. Did you remove your ads? Even though you had 72 hours to fix this horrible problem? Or has Google already removed them? Very vexing. This situation has me annoyed. Very annoyed. If they can do this to the least of us among us, they can do it to me. I've very religious.

  5. Somehow I'm not surprised. Companies are always looking to screw you over, especially if it means they don't have to pay you.

  6. It was kind of entertaining seeing if I would ever actually get any money from blogging. "I've been blogging for four years and almost made $50!"
I removed the ads myself. I don't want to go thru all my posts and remove any that are sexually explicit since Google and I obviously have drastically different opinions on what sexually explicit means.

  7. I think all you had to do was remove that bestiality word. I think you should put the ads back on and see if Google actually does something so dumb as to suspend your account over such a thing. And if they do, use Google's Blogger to blog about it.

And you might take this as a valuable lesson and maybe quit talking about sexually explicit subject matter all the time. I know it's your favorite subject, but there are other things you might be able to talk about.

  8. That's a good idea. I can replace all bestiality with beastiality. They probably won't even notice :)
