Sesame Street Was Also Born in 1969

image1969 was a good year. I was born near the beginning of 1969. In July of 1969, Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. Woodstock happened in August of 1969. The Trans Am was born in 1969 (which is one of the reasons I bought one when they announced they would quit making them in 2002).
Sesame Street also kicked off in 1969. This week is their 40th birthday. Let’s share some videos. "C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me". The Manamana is one of my favorites.

  1. So. You did not go to Woodstock? And you don't have a live memory of the first Moonwalk? I think Teddy Kennedy took an unfortunate plunge off a bridge in 1969, I dunno, my memory is hazy, I was only 2 at the time. It does seem like the bridge plunge and the moon landing were the same weekend. Or was it the Watergate break-in and the bridge plunge being on the same weekend, that would have been 1972. I was 5. My memory of 1972 is clearer than my memory of 1969.

  2. I don't remember going to Woodstock although I would have to quiz my parents to make sure. They don't seem like the type.

I was about 5 months old when Neil Armstrong allegedly walked upon the moon. Is it possible to remember anything that early? I don't know.

I thought you were older than that.

  3. Sir,

I hope you go to hell.
I will have that Manamana song in my head for the next 3 days.

  4. If you can do the Cookie Monster voice, then you can possibly overwrite the Manamana song with the C is for Cookie song... You just have to be able to sing it aloud in the cookie monster voice.

    Try it:
"C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me."

  5. Ah, the cookie monster does have a CHARMING voice, it's actually drop-dead gorgeous. I think I have a thing about voice~! :) I might try to practice the cookie monster's instruction, you know his distinctive cookie eating style. I think here the most important thing is "The messier, the better~!" :) *bisous*
